The most colorful weekend of the year in Steamboat Springs takes place every July when dozens of hot air balloon pilots gather at Bald Eagle Lake to launch into the cool morning sky. It’s a spectacle you have to check out at least once in your life. As a spectator you can walk among the balloons as they inflate and take off into the air.
