As a food fanatic few experiences for me compare to an evening of incredible delectable delights. Steamboat Springs has a tremendous selection of restaurants and bars. From a light nosh to stuffing yourself silly there is always something for whatever you may be hungry for. There are three experiences that I will be writing about here. All revolved around the fine dining experience and reservations are recommended.
Steamboat Springs is host to over 130 restaurants ranging from American fare to Sushi at 7000 feet in the Rockies.
One of the more unique dining opportunities is on the Steamboat Resort ski area. A quick ride up the Gondola will bring you to Hazie’s. Billed as a “culinary delight with an incredible view” I can speak to both. They feature lunch and dinner service. A multi course meal with full selection of beverages to accompany the meals. The food can range from vegetarian to beef and game. Though not a year round opportunity if you get the chance make sure to add this to your list of restaurants to go to. Best Part: the night ride on the Gondola after your meal is pure romance on a clear night.
Now you don’t remain on the top of Trip Advisors best restaurants in Steamboat by not being incredible. The Café Diva and there team of career professionals truly take care of you for a wonderful dining experience. With an extensive wine list and the assistance of their sommeliers you can pair the perfect vintage with your meal. Celebrating almost 20 years in business they are sure to please even the most discerning palette. Best Part: Location, Location, Location! Being right close to the gondola base are makes for easy access from any vacation rental you might be staying at.
One of Steamboat Springs newest restaurants has the whole town a buzz from their unique offerings. Cloverdale Restaurant is a true farm to table experience. They have 10.5 acre farm in South Routt County that supplies the restaurant. For me it was the presentation that absolutely blew me away. It is not every day I have been served a lightly poached and foamed egg on a nest of pine branches. The service team is spectacular with a knowledgeable staff helping you with each course. Best Part: incredible communication from their talented staff. Including before your arrival to insure any dietary restrictions are met.
